Magellan's Cross

Magellan's Cross, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

Sharing with you a part of my world.

This is Magellan's cross, planted in Cebu by Ferdinand Magellan on his arrival in 1521. This signifies the entry of Catholicism in the country as the Spaniards are credited for making the Philippines a predominantly Catholic country. The mural depicts the events of that time.

Taken November 2008 in Cebu, Philippines
