Off Limits

Off Limits, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

A fence usually signifies that something is off limits or at least requires permission to enter. This structure in Malaysia was fenced and not open to visitors. But I managed to get a shot through the fence, using its parts to frame the structure.

All White and Colorful, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

Color attracts, doesn't it? Although there are three birds in the picture, the colorful one stands out.

Butterfly

Butterfly, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

Butterflies are probably one of the camera critters which are difficult to shoot. I tried several times to take a picture but they flew away before I could press the shutter. This photo is one of the few I managed to get.

300

Murugan, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

This photo was taken outside the Batu Caves in Malaysia. This is the world's biggest statue of Murugan. Even if this is made of concrete and not of gold, its construction was still very expensive. After all, 300 liters of gold paint was exported from Thailand. By the way, I have another photo here showing its size.

Malacca Old and New

Malacca Old and New, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

Visitors to the Ruins of St. Paul's Church in Malacca get a glimpse of the old and new. From a distance, they can see the new developments in the area, a sharp contrast to their immediate surroundings.

Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin

The Lady and the Snake, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

"No", I said when the animal trainer offered the snake to me. She said, "So that you'll have a souvenir photo with the snake". I said, " Never mind, I'll just take your picture if it's alright with you." I didn't want to do it. Aside from fear, I didn't want to pay the fee for the photo opportunity. It's a good thing she agreed to have her photo taken without a fee.

Red and Old

Christ Church Melaka, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

The Christ Church of Malacca, built in the 1700s, is but one of the red buildings in the square. It is a reminder of the city's Dutch history which goes back to the 1400s.
