On the left is Vigan Church, one of the oldest churches in Ilocos. The place is a must visit for tourists to Ilocandia. Here, locals and tourists pray to the heavens.
On the right is McDonalds where burger worshippers pay homage. What is interesting about this branch of this global fastfood company is that the design is in keeping with the province's heritage look.
The sky seems to separate the two.

Great Sky Watch Friday catch.
What a contrast between the two buildings... And yes, looks like they tried to dress up McD's a bit, but it still seems a bit disturbing to me.
Love the contrast. Great post!
I'm back ...
Oh no, cried blog world ... he's back!
But guess what, I'm glad I decided to make a comeback.
If I didn´t rejoin SWF I would never have the chance to see this great photo!
Yeah, Even McDo is very Vigan in style, ganda naman!
I have to agree about the sky separating them! Happy weekend!
Excellent... they get evertwhere...
Just to let you know I have visited and seen your post. I thank you for joining in this week and being part of the Sky Watch community.
Tom :O)
Great shot.
Seeing the church and the McDonald's in the same photo makes me laugh. You just can't get away from the modern things.
Shalom to you.
Wouldn't it be funny if it were a vegan church across from the meat-eaters?
Greetings from Jerusalem.
Great capture for sky watch!
Have a nice weekend.
nice picture
Very interesting photograph and a great Sky Watch. Yes.. it seems McDonald's is everywhere. I'm happy to see that McDonald's 'golden arches' are absent. It would be a shame if they were present and higher than the church steeple.
APhotoaday and for the people, love the contrast too!
Quinttarantino, welcome back.
Mirage2g, and with a bell tower too.
Petunia, JC, John, Tommy V, thanks!
Tom, maybe even to the moon someday!
Anna, they actually have an ad where they market McDo to those attending the dawn masses during Christmastime.
Dina, that would be funny! Hello from Manila!
Pat, can't remember if they have the golden arches somewhere.
Nice shot. Some people do go to McDo religiously. :)
