Calle Crisologo

Calle Crisologo - Kalesa, originally uploaded by Em Dy.

This was what I so wanted to see during my recent trip to Ilocos. Calle Crisologo is the image most iconic of Vigan. Cobblestone lined street. Preserved storehouses. Horse drawn carriages. Truly wow Philippines.

Taken April 2008 in Vigan, Ilocos.

Pardon my ignorance but Calle Crisologo seems to be prominent in a lot of photos that feature Vigan. But is it the only street that's quite preserved, like a showcase for tourists? Or is a big part of the town preserved in the same state/manner this street is? Thanks for a great photo.

Most of the town remain preserved. Business establishments are asked to keep their stores' designs as close as possible to the old style. McDonalds is a prime example.
